Rick Pounds, MS, CSCS

Rick is the Owner/Director of the Lexington HIT Center. He earned his B.H.S from the University of Kentucky in 1983. In 1985 he completed his Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Kentucky. He holds several National Certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine: Exercise Test Technologist, Exercise Specialist and Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist.  He also holds the Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist Certification from the National Strength & Conditioning Association.  Over his 20+ years of training Rick has had the opportunity to train athletes ranging from little leaguers to professionals.  In 2005 one of his athletes became an NCAA Track and Field Champion.

Jeremy Nichols, M.S.,H/FI,CSCS

A native of Erlanger, Kentucky, Jeremy earned his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Morehead State University in 2003 and his Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kentucky in 2005. Jeremy is currently a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American College of Sports Medicine. He is currently certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and through the American College of Sports Medicine as a Certified Health/Fitness Instructor. Jeremy has been working at The HIT Center of Lexington since completing his internship in the spring of 2003 and has since been named as an Assistant Director and Director of the Speed-Up program.

Wesley Rainey, NSCA-CPT
Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Wesley earned a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science at the University of Kentucky in 2005. Wesley is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is a certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Personal Trainer and will be taking the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist test in June. Wesley has been employed by the HIT Center since finishing his internship in October 2005. In addition to working at the HIT Center Wesley also coaches middle school basketball at The Lexington School.

Aaron MacDonald, CSCS
A native of Portsmouth, Ohio, Aaron earned his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky in 2003. While at Morehead, Aaron was a three year letter winner and two year starter as outside linebacker for the Eagles. He is currently working towards his Post-Baccalaureate of Science in Athletic Training from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky with an anticipated graduate date of 2007. Aaron is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is also certified in CPR/AED through the American Heart Association. Aaron has been employed at the HIT Center since the summer of 2004.
 

Our staff wants to make a difference for you. The scientific approach leaves no questions of what you have to do. The HIT Center program can become a marker in your life. If you have not been able to believe in the past, you will be able to believe you can do it now. As an athlete on the field your body will be able to keep up with your mind. As you participate in the Lighten-Up or HIT-Fit programs and you loose fat and become fit you will become stronger, sharper and happier about yourself.
