Kelly Barnes, BA – Executive Director

Kelly was raised in Chateaugay, NY where she excelled at soccer, basketball, and softball. She played Division I NJCAA soccer and basketball at Mater Dei College and finished her collegiate basketball career at SUNY Utica. She was a little too heavy and slow to make Division I outright and is now much more knowledgeable about proper nutrition. At SUNY Utica, she earned a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. Kelly worked for several years as an Adventure Based Counselor, utilizing team building skills and high and low ropes courses with at-risk adolescents. After working along side a sports psychologist and realizing that she couldn’t save the world, Kelly decided to return to college and is currently finishing her Master’s of Science in Kinesiology at Arizona State University. She completed an internship at Kronos Institute of Longevity working with their exercise physiologist and found that exercise physiology is her passion. Kelly actively participates in cycling and running events and is currently training for her first ½ Ironman.

 

Kyle Hobbs - Speed Up Director

Kyle was raised in Gilbert, Arizona and received his Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology from Arizona State University. Kyle was a USS swimmer for 13 years and also played varsity basketball in high school. Kyle coached swimming for 4 years and is very dedicated to helping people achieve their specific fitness goals.

 

Andrew Althoff - Assistant Lighten Up/Hit Fit Director

Andrew was born and raised in Arizona and recently received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physiology from the University of Arizona.  He has been a fitness oriented individual for much of his life and was actively involved in baseball during high school. Andrew enjoys working to develop new and unique techniques, as he hopes to keep his training progressive and exciting.

 

Justin Bluff

Justin was born and raised in Sedona, Arizona and recently finished his Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology at Arizona State University. Justin has played football for over 7 years and is now planning on attending graduate school for Endocrinology before going to medical school. He is dedicated in helping individuals of all levels of physical fitness to achieve their goals.

 

Jennifer Williams

Jennifer was raised in Queen Creek, Arizona. She is a graduate of Arizona State University with her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology. Jennifer attended Northern Arizona University and was part of the Athletic Training Program for two years before transferring to ASU. She enjoys hiking, anything outdoors and attending all sporting events. She is committed in supporting others in their fitness development and willing to invest time in her own professional growth. Jennifer has future plans on getting her Master’s of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. 


Erin Hargett

Erin, who is originally from Charlotte, NC, is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Promotion and a minor in Exercise Science. She is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is currently working on her ACSM certification. She is also currently attending massage therapy school at the Cortiva Institute.


Scott Woodbury

Scott is a graduate from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology and a minor in nutrition. He has played a number of sports including soccer, wrestling, track, and ice hockey. He continues to play soccer in a Scottsdale Men’s League. Scott has gained much experience by working in the fields of physical therapy, corporate fitness, and personal training.


Kristen Cole

Kristen graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology.  She enjoys running and teaching aerobics, but loves college football (hook ‘em horns!).  Kristen would eventually like to pursue a Master’s degree in Athletic Training.


Jennifer Craven

Jennifer will be graduating from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise and Wellness in December of 2008.  She enjoys basketball but engages in many other sports for leisure.  Jennifer will eventually pursue a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology


Brian Sowers

Brian was raised in Santa Maria, California. In May of 2006 he graduated from California State University Fresno with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology. Brian initially played baseball for Alan Hancock Community College and completed his collegiate career at University of St. Mary’s in Kansas. Sports have always been his passion.


Ryan Shore

Ryan received Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science from Mount Marty College in Yankton, South Dakota.  A native Arizonian Ryan has been involved in sports all of his life; playing collegiate baseball and now finding his newest passion in golf.   With over 10 years in the fitness industry, he has extensive experience in Stott Pilates and sport-specific training,
